I wish to instigate a zero tolerance policy towards metalcore, any band or artist who thinks metalcore is important and plays in this style is to be terminated immediately, additionally any individual who:

a) listens to
b) has ever enjoyed or
c) appreciates

metalcore is also to be immediately terminated

Protest the Hero, Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, Shai Hulud, Fear Before the March of Flames, all beg to differ.

I grew up listening to a lot of bands like Unearth, Shadows fall, Kse, Bleeding through, and lots of stuff concurrently when I was listening to the usual mentions of Rotting Christ, Mayhem, God Dethroned, Cannibal Corpse, and other more extreme bands. It never struck me as odd to enjoy them all, I trash a lot of newer bands like these guys and some of the more absurd shitty core bands like Sky eats Airplane, Asking Alexandria, and bands that use dubstep/electronic elements. But I've never had an issue with metalcore as long as its not incredibly gay shit like Emmure or older Liferuiner.

yeah this was pretty terrible.

RO needs to listen to metalcore that actually has hardcore influences in it then. It's not all scene dribble that it's made out to be by todays standards.

perhaps I ought to investigate beyond the scene kid phenomena before writing the genre off entirely, but that's less likely then concrete evidence proving the existance of god being discovered so yeah on this subject I refuse to alter my position
