if you ever do feel compelled to check out the Martin stuff Thrash and Frenchie have suggested the best of the bunch, but I can't blame you if you don't, I'm gonna be getting rid of my Martin records ASAP

Tyr is one of my favorites .. I actually think it was the second CD I ever purchased (after We Sold our Soul for Rock N Roll) back when I decided to ditch my cassettes. I'd almost call it an underrated classic. I certainly enjoy it more than Dehumanizer.

Dehumanizer has some good moments (I, Computer God), but some plodding stuff I prefer to skip too (Letters from Earth, Master of Insanity) .. in a lot of ways it resembles The Devil You Know. However that one has a couple of incredibly strong songs (Bible Black, Fear) that make it seem like a better album overall.

I actually didn't realize how good a song 'I' was until I heard the Norwegian Tyr's cover of it.

But seriously, one of my favorite albums of all time, from possibly the greatest band ever, for sure. I wouldn't necessarily call it the best BS album, objectively it would be s/t or Paranoid or even Heaven&Hell, but this one means so much to me.

As for Martin era, TYR kick ass. :dio:

eight hundred odd posts in my first month, that's gotta be some sort of record right?

and why is so much of what I've had to say lately being taken out of context?
