You pretty much called 'em, V. All the ones I wanted to say were in there.

Except, c'mon, Ace of Spades is in there. I'm not one of these people that hates on a song for getting overplayed. That's not the song's fault. A classic song is a classic song.

 @ Devvy

Also Tales Of Glory, hell the whole Another Perfect day album, practically.

Yeah, I forgot Ace Of Spades. I don't hate it at all, it's a classic for a reason.

I don't expect much traffic in this thread though, don't seem to be much love for head here.

Forgot Capricorn too.

Really? I always just assumed that it was one of those bands that nobody needs to necessarily talk about because everyone knows that we all love them.

Obviously the classics are badass, but I think some of Motorhead 90's output is criminally underrated.

1916,Bastards,and Sacrifice in particular.

You can't lose with Motorhead, regardless of era.

One of the great things about Motorhead is their consistency. They may cop a lot of shit for doing the same shit over and over, but I see it as one of their strengths. It means that if you like their shtick, there's barely a dud album in discog.

There is a definite distinction between the old classic line-up of Lemmy, Fast Eddie and Philthy Animal and later incarnation (s).

In some ways the current line-up is heavier, but I still prefer the mean as a rattlesnake in the middle of a noon-struck desert highway, whisky and crank fueled iron-horse outlaw sound of the original lineup, if only slightly.

Yeah, agreed.

You can't go past a band where besides the badass that is Lemmy, the other two musicians are called Fast Eddy and Philthy Animal.

There's just so much badassery going on there it hurts.

Has anyone seen the Lemmy documentary? It always gets recommended to me on Netflix but I've never gotten around to watching it.

It's pretty good. Drags on a bit an Lemmy is hard to understand a lot of the time, but still, it's pretty cool. He is a bit of a hoarder so that's kinda weird, but whatever.

That. I really dig the heaviness of newer 'head and absolutely loved Motorizer, but the classics are classics for a reason. I need more drunken nights listening to Motorhead in my life.

Here's what my shortlist would look like ..

I'll Be Your Sister
Tear Ya Down
Live To Win
The Chase Is Better Than the Catch
Killed By Death
Dancing On Your Grave
I Got Mine
Orgasmatron
Whiplash (Metallica cover)
God Was Never on Your Side
Brotherhood of Man

Disclaimer: I haven't heard every Motorhead song in existence .. but all of their classic stuff at one time or another.

my favourite lyric of all time is the opening of Killed By Death

"if you squeeze my lizard...I'll put my snake in you" Lemmy is a lyrical genius sometimes

I wonder if that would be a good pick up line?
