Yeah, I listened a little over half and this is pretty okay. I'm not sure how much I'd actually listen to it. Maybe I'm not in the mood as much right now because it's 2 AM and I'm tired and dreading how I have to get up at 6 but  I like the switching vocal styles. It's not the greatest thing I've ever heard but like I said, it's pretty decent. 70-75 was a good score for it.

Edit: I'm on the last song and I still stand mostly by what I said. With the varied vocals it's a shame that I don't feel any of them are done that well. I think it was important for the mixture of long and short songs. It keeps it from being overly monotonous. I could see this being very forgettable if it were all short, and very boring if it were all longer. The total length of the album will allow me to throw it on here and there for something quick, but at the same time I could always throw on None So Vile. It's interesting at least for it's mixture of genres.

I didn't like the other Circle of Dead Children I had heard but I guess I should give this a shot.

I never commented on this at the time, but I wanted to now after reading the comments on the new Wormed concerning the vocals. I wouldn't say I'm a huge pig squealing fan, but CODC mixes it up very effectively. This is one of my favorite grind albums. No bullshit, just super powerful death grind with great flow. This album has a very dark feel to it. Like a decaying body floating through space and time. The pure density of this album is immense. It is one of the heaviest albums I have ever heard. It is very dynamic switching between trem picked single string melody lines and down tempo powerful drawn out chords. I doubt anyone will end up reading this post since it is so belated, but I think if you truly love extreme metal you will love this album. I love the power this album conveys. This is not trendy grind. It is the epitome of darkness and evil conveyed with a crushing blow that can only be described as Tysonesque.

i read it and will check out a couple of songs. what got to me is how you said you're not a fan of that vocal style either but you still managed to enjoy this. also the whole decaying body thing lol.

that said i'm not a grind fan at all.

but you went through the trouble so i guess i should go too

I loved this album. It's kinda fallen out of my normal rotation; I may have looked it over in copying bands to my laptop from my external drive.

That being said, I think these vocals are different than Wormed's. I don't enjoy the vocals on the Wormed album; they have the stretched belch sound that Demilich was the first to do. CoDD, however, enunciates the growls in a way that I appreciate and enables me to get it into them. I wish I could put this distinction in better words.
