I thought these guys were kinda decent live. Don't know if I'd buy this album, but they sounded cool.

That's the thing. There were parts, seeing them live and listening to the album, that I really dig, but before long I become bored with it. Giants and Overthrone come the closest to being quality jams, yet they can't maintain anything resembling a groove or hook to keep me interested.

My problem might be a broader problem I have with prog where even the musicians playing look bored by it all and so I can't imagine how it is to be anything but boring.

This is one of the coolest metal albums I've heard in a while but eighty minutes is too long.
