Same here, nothing like a new Amon Amarth to rock out to :dio:

I got my copy on Saturday, It is way way way better then their last album which was a total bomb. Still not as good as Oden or their first 4 albums but it is still really good. Still no Versus The World though, but I don't see them producing another Versus The World ever again. I completely agree with the score and review. Fantastic album that really surprised me. If you were worried, don't be because this is the quality that you have and should expect from a band like them.

One of my most anticipated albums this year. I actually liked the last one, but I'm forgiving to bands with a consistent quality output. Amon Amarth has always delivered IMO. Some are better than others, but that is the case with any band. I agree with the perfect timing comment cause I will be blasting this out of my Milwaukee boom box on the river while I'm slough hopping in my flat bottom all summer long. Amon Amarth has always been great drinking music for me so lets raise our flagons of mead in honor of the Viking warriors latest offering. Bardagi ok dauði!!!

Hm, going to have to listen to this if people are actually getting excited over it. Certainly wasn't expecting anything other than more of the same...

And I bet it basically isn't. First 4 albums remain essential though.

Yeah, pretty much the same thing we have been hearing. Whether that's good or bad depends on how much of AA you can digest.

Been a while since I could get into an AA album but I will give this one a shot.

Some complain when a band becomes to predictable and some complain when a band changes their sound too much. It proves that you just can't make everyone happy all of the time. I find the album to be a strong Amon Amarth album, one that I would come to expect from them at this point in their career. I'm taking up my sword and shield to protect the realm from Loki.

Great album. Cant get enough of it. I didn't have any expectations but this album shows, again, that it doesn't matter if it has been done a million times before, if it's done this good it kicks ass.
