Yeah, I liked Silencing Machine, but that doesn't sound exciting. Hopefully his side project will get a creative kick back in there...

Remind yourself how terrible your teenage taste was by listening to it? ;)

I'd rather listen to Limp Bizkit than Kamelot

Blake says Nachtmystium are done, barring the final album in 2014. Oh well.

I'll be drowning my sorrows with a PBR while consuming sriracha-soy sticks at the local Whole Foods cafe in response to this dreadful news. :D

It is sad news. Never my favourite band, but a more than decent one that has produced some good albums, and although Blake doubtless had a karmic kick in the balls coming, it's a shame that no more Nachtmystium is the price.

I was kinda under the impression this was happening from his last post so not really phased by this. For that and because I haven't cared about a single thing that he has done since Assassins.

On a more serious note, who the fuck listens to metal and doesn't drink PBR? I get that hipsters drink it ironically, but every metalhead that I know drinks that shit non-ironically because it's fucking cheap. Sorry, it's no Bud Light. Or maybe metalheads should be drinking fine craft brews at $16 a four pack. No offense to ebd, Steve and V make the same comments, but how could you be so disconnected from the scene that drinking cheap beer becomes a pejorative? Unless that beer is too cheap (whatever the fuck that looks like as I've said) or that PBR has been so wholly appropriated by hipsters that you can't imagine any one not them drinking it (in which case you ignore the last vestiges of working class folk who really just dig PBR and High Life for not being as expensive as Bud heavy or Miller Lite) which is kinda fucking unmetal to be sacrificing ground to some other subculture.

I liked Instinct Decay but that was about it, great album, though.

And trapt, the mentioning of PBR was of course meant as an ironic joke. I really should have said Sierra Nevada or something like that. My dad loves PBR (and I like it) because it is decent and cheap. Furthermore, I'd never actually make fun of someone for drinking cheap beer, but all that pricey craft shit is fair game. Thanks for the reminder to go bump the beer thread.

I sensed the irony, but it's a jab that gets thrown out way too much and doesn't make much sense to me.

Glad you called me to task then.
