Gorguts going on a Eurotour and not coming to the UK is bullshit.

Saw children of bodom and death angel tonight. Tyr played as well but I wasn't really paying attention to their set.

Place was packed.

Was the show any good? I might get dragged to that.

I caught Death Angel on their past headliner with Battlecross and Revocation and they were excellent. Personally, I'm stoked for Nile coming in May. Any chance to catch the double-bass mastery of George Kolias is a must in my book.

1349 sucked

Inquisition are amazing. Literally every riff sounded as they do on my albums, Incubus was completely enthralled to be playing just the expression of enthrallment on his face told me. Dagon's riffs were sharp, precise, and his heavy metal influenced melodies really took form in the set. The band played a lot of newer material, but hearing Those of the night really got my blood pumping. Inquisition are truly a great and creative band, and seeing them live and feeling their riffs in my bloodstream really was something else

Goatwhore absolutely tore up the place as well.

1349 could learn a lot from them, as in how not to steal Mayhem riffs, have 20 something burnouts set up their gear for them (Inquisition and Goatwhore set up their sets like real men), and how to play actual music instead of gallivanting around playing norsecore.

Black Crown Initiate are also one of the worst bands I've ever heard

i left after 1349, inquisition was sick though. 1349 was pretty mediocre live even though I really liked their "Demonoir" record as well as a few songs from their prior records..

Saw La Dispute and now I want to be a rock star. Mansions and Pianos Become Teeth were really great too.

Saw DEP last night. Small 500 person venue. Not big enough for any crazy antics, but I was pressed against the stage the entire night with Puciato all up in my grill for the set. Fun stuff. I had never seen Weinman hurt himself before. It was awkward.

Hey guys! Long time no see! Been busy with a lot of stuff, including setting up a metal association in my country (Romania). Which I've used to create this little monster (among other things):

In case you're interested, more info here http://www.rtmc.ro/old-grave-fest-2014-romanian-thrash-metal-fest-3rd-edition/tickets/ and here https://www.facebook.com/events/508121542637887/

Looking forward to some feedback! Cheers!

Quite impressive some of the bands that I know of on the list. Vehemence, Root, Desaster. Well done. You were a good poster. Do post more. Cheers!

Only band I know is Manilla Road but that's way cool you helped organize a music festival.

No idea how Root are live but based on their recordings I'd figure they'd be worth the price of admission alone. Getting a lineup like that Romania is an excellent job, Old School. And no Negura Bunget in sight!

Thanks. I changed jobs a few years back and have very little time now to post and do Internet stuff. No longer working for government heh... those were the days.

@North From Here: Thanks! No Negura Bunget (frankly I don't like their direction after the split), but we'll have a couple of local bands that could use our support much more. If any of you guys are in the area or want to plan a mini holiday in Bucharest, you're welcome! Admission is around 30 euro (for both days), beer is cheap, girls are pretty AND coming to metal shows ;)

Oh, and apparently Root live is like this... so yeah, we're in for a treat!
