Hmmm... 88, huh? I have kind of lost interest in Melechesh after Emissaries. I might have to give a few tracks a go. I have doubts that this album will change my mind regarding once the mighty Melechesh with releases such as Sphynx and Emissaries, nevertheless, there is a glimmer of hope.

More awesomeness from these guys. One of this year's best DM releases.

Listened to Sphynx ten years ago. Didn't like it. Listened to the title track here. I can dig it.

It's interesting... I've never heard DM riffs all that much in Melechesh fashion of riffage. Maybe in earlier releases, but not so much in their past three albums. I am very impressed with this release. Progressive, stylish, dynamic, top-notch musicianship and excellent production. Around the same score as Zad. Phenomenal, two thumbs way up!

Well written review. 88 might be a little high in my estimation but whatever. There was one thing that jumped out at me though. What exactly is wrong with As Jerusalem Burns?

It's not a bad album but is fairly dull when compared to anything that came after. I think they were still finding themselves there...

Fair enough. I like As Jerusalem Burns more then some of their later work, Djinn for example, but that's just me.
