I liked the album quite a bit too, and thought that the influences Abbath brought forth in I - Between Two Worlds are shining very strong here. I went back and relistened to that album only to have my feelings further reinforced. This is a lot grimier than I, but is not old Immortal. But when you can write riffs like Abbath can, like nobody's business, you will enjoy longevity no matter how long your career in metal is going to be.

Very solid record. Pretty much agreed with the score.

Have not heard Between Two Worlds. I take it that I should probably get around to doing that. But you are right, Abbath is a riff magician. No one like him. Looking forward to seeing him live this Spring.

Top shelf black n' roll very much in the vein of the I album. Aside from the poorly chosen Riding the Wind cover, every track is a solid blast of icy blackness with those classic Abbath riffs sure to keep your neck moving. Score is spot on, Jared. A must-purchase for all blizzard beasts.

Jared, you have got to search BEtween Two Worlds. You will love it.

Sounds like I, and All shall fall.

Not bad I guess.

Taken in a blind listen-test, I'm sure most would tag this as the new Immortal album. No Satyricon-like evolution or Isahn-like transformation here.

Score is correct. Album is further confirmation that Abbath should be counted amongst the legends of the business.

Yes I would highly recommend the "I"album, it was my favorite for 2006. Based on what I have read here, this new one is a must have. Nothing like more Abbath riffs!

Getting pretty bland at this point. First couple tracks are pretty cool, and I actually liked the cover of Immortal, the rest is a samey mess of stuff we've heard before, (and I'd argue better) on older stuff.
