Listening to this right now. Definitely a step up from the debut with a much better sound mix (guitars bold and up front like they should be), improved song quality (consistent throughout) and the ageless Matt Barlow is as good as ever. Review is spot on with the need for more overall speedy thrashiness and less mid tempo chugging. Also, a more judicious use of vocal layering would have been far more effective at creating the atmosphere intended rather than the ridiculous over-saturation present on damn near every track. Still, a fine release worthy of a listen for all the Nevermore and Iced Earth folks.
