Pitchfork/Fantanocore black metal is something I've very skeptical of, especially when it is USBM (which it often is). I, like many of the long term posters here, know (or knew) more about the history and evolution of the genre than these reviewers do, and don't appreciate the lectures from people who are essentially genre tourists. That said, I gave Aesthethica a fair shake and minireview on the forum here, and even found about half the tracks enjoyable (while rejecting the band as black metal). Not gonna bother this time, as Goat has done the work for me. Thanks Goat!

As someone who tried to give the guy an honest chance and actually enjoyed some of his earlier stuff, his cover of Shellac makes you realize what sound he is actually going for and it's not great: https://vimeo.com/74171554
