In my usual dramatic way, I've started writing again. It does feel better when I'm doing it because I enjoy it, not because I feel the obligation to keep this old place ticking over. Love of the music and all that.

Went through a bad breakup with my partner of 6 years, quit drinking, lost my grandmother, moved back to Az and lost 40 lbs over the course of the last 4 months. Its been a wild ride, but I'm getting into shape and still in the pit as always.

Back from a rather dramatic Christmas/NY break that included, in no particular order: cancelled flights, lost luggage, food poisoning, leg injuries, and infections! All very death metal but got through it well and Christmas itself was lovely, so can't complain. Not quite in the mood to resume reviewing yet (has anything notable other than The Halo Effect actually been released?) but hoping that returns soon too. Hope all are well!
