A brooding temperament, which is certainly not to my liking, but since he is a guitarist which I listened to previously, and had acquired quite a few of his works, he deserves some playing time.

Coming to take in the orientation of this jazz man with greater ease after long periods of abstinence, and so as it goes, one is even in need of the practice of hearing notes in their suitable manner, not to hear too little, or to hear, too much. But just as the notes are in themselves.

Well, I can't say the music played here, is in any way, brooding, and on the contrary, there are ounces of pleasure to be found on it.

Mr. Metheny has been, for long, one of my singularly favourite jazz guitarist. But even with favorites, you'd have to give them, a break. Especially, with your favorites, a long break. Longest, so that, the pleasure returns, with greater intensity, or at least, with a kind of intensity, which has a unfamiliar newness to it, never experienced before. At least, that's how the story goes. And so, this is the naked truth of it.

Of inexhaustive musical value and emotional depth.

A debut that is already ripen with awe-inspiring and spell-binding imagination.

Solid tribute to the blue collar troubadour. Wino fares best out of the three with his trademark whiskey-tinged rasp feeling especially suited to these songs. Those who've enjoyed Von Till's acoustic records will definitely want to check this out.

Not played since last November. Once a spring time in the meadows of jazz-fusion, is now Autumn yellow. It'd foolish to think otherwise. Although, Spring time is never entirely materially seasonal, you see, but a permanent state of mind.

Certainty thematics which I cannot listen to everyday, but the kind of music which once heard, never ever leaves memory.

From a very different time, with very different musical purposes.
