I thought sharing musician photos, in concert, or otherwise, would enhance the experience of music listening, for selves and others. I know sometimes the cover work does just that, but an extra regular thread, where board members continue to share, may keep up the spirits of the board. Perhaps, entice the curiosities of members, whom have never heard of the artist under session. A brief description of the musician involved, perhaps a date, or some other intriguing detail (character trait, a brief life story) would be nice, or any other detail, about the musician, which may in turn, give other board members a reason to explore what everyone else is playing. Even in some event, videos work, too. Any genre, whatsoever.

I'll start:

Charles Mingus Jr. American Bassist and Composer. Rather violent temper, lived just after middle-age, smoked heavily. Fascinating and complex character. One of the most capable bass-men to have ever existed in American Jazz music.

Art Blakey was a great drummer amongst many equally skilled drummers. But his agility, velocity, and speed, took precedence, while others drummers of the same era, had a variety of other skills, which Blakey somehow, submerged, and synthesized. Apologies for the large image here but Blakey is executing a particular technique which captures the essence of high caliber jazz drumming.

One of the great Spaniards of modernity and a man with flawless virtuosity.

Warbringer, from Venura, California. A young band, but an innately experienced group of musicians, with a fully loaded artillery, at their disposal.

Robert William Gary Moore, a primary originator of Blues/Rock/Metal. Lived the lifestyle of Rock'N'Roll/Blues, never comprising a day, but ultimately, paid his dues, and the debt he owed to it. Irishman.

The Blues/Jazz man Grant Green had no equal with only and seldom with other older maestros such as Wes Montgomery, could be put into comparison, and we'd have to go farther back than that, older axe-holders to find objective studies. But inasmuch, as Gospel/Jazz/Blues were concerned, where technique/heart/soul came primary, and melody-making was key, and foundational structures, held it all together, Green had it all.

John Leslie "Wes" Montgomery, an American jazz guitarist, with seldom technique unperfected, and touch and with an unusual gentle touch, incomparable, with his picks, only executed with the fleshly part of his fingers. A rare choosing of melodies, and rhythms, where oftentimes, the astute listener would wonder, if he were playing the guitar, or the harpsichord, or the santoor, or if he was playing in Western modalities, or Eastern modalities, or how he had come about knowing of all this interweaved complexities, never been formally, and typically trained, as a jazz musician.
