My first time hearing this album.

There was a time in classic heavy music when a great deal of attention was payed to symmetry and harmony, equilibrium-building scales, where nothing was wrongly placed, or wrongly played, and Ozzy played in his most ghastly and in his most haunting-sounding roles, a grandfather of foul play, and a man of many sins with revelatory fallibilities, which he never hid from anyone and that is what made him so lovable.

I believe I had only heard this many years ago and only in fragments. In those times, my musical palette was very different. I do think Priest within a very short span of time progressed to develop a rather impressive canvas of metal music, but this debut is surely, never inferior, to what they would become, within a short interval of time. This '25 remix and remaster is quite remarkable.

Therion in their earliest days were a group highly ambitious musicians with thematics from the occult world which is reflected, in the magnificent cover art. The music itself, is in all frankness, disarrayed, but it is not amateurish. What it is, heavy and alluring which absorbs the listener as the main composer of music is captivated by the world of myth, which had enraptured the mind of Christopher Johnsson in great measure. The music is highly energized, and the album keeps a healthy pulse, all throughout. The entire album sounds enormous and empowered.

Well it does give a sensation of being completely squashed, then chopped up, cooked, devoured and then defecated, thereafter.

Ecstasy.
