As about 1000 times before, we don't mix music and message! Why don't you just leave the black metal reviews for us and spam all melodeath threads full of your bullshit instead!?

I'm not talking about Varg; as far as I'm concerned Varg is a cunt; but Burzum is fuckin' amazing; as Gast pointed out this is about the music; the extra-curicular activities of the musicians are of no concern to me.

If you don't like the music because od something that doesn't have to do with it, it's your problem; trying to use non musical statements to win a musical disscusion is stupid. It's like saying Priest sucks because Halford is homosexual; that's stupid.

Plus I would like to leave this straight: Burzum is not NSBM; Varg adopted those ideas afterwards; Burzum doesn't have a NS message; so even if you hate bands with a racist message, Burzum doesn't have one.

Burzum's music is some of the best ever; it is so intense, deep and totally engulfing; there's not one band that tries to do what Burzum could and that acomplishes it; but I guess any cunt can do it huh.... well looks like no one can; but still ignorant people give their opinion on Burzum showing how ignorant they are; for example I know crap about Power Metal; how valid would my opinion be if I reviewed the latest Sonata Arctica?

Anyway; Varg is a cunt, yes; but Burzum is BLack Metal in its purest form; I worship Filosofem in a daily basis; never gets old, never gets boring; it's always as intense as the first time.

I shall say no more when someone reffers to Burzum as crap (except an insult or two maybe ) because it always becomes a stupid: "But Varg is a racist", "But Varg killed Euronymous", "But Varg burned a church" flame war. People who really know what Black Metal is aknowledge Burzum's greatness and are happy to be some of the people who actually get it. We know what Burzum is; they don't.

I mean that they suck musically speaking. I've said this many times before.

Musicianship: Crap. Guitars are lame and offtime, and VERY repetative. The drums: snare, snare, snare.... Vocals: extremely bad. No range. No control. The voice sucks.

Songwriting: Repetative shit. His songs consist of a couple riffs. Simple and bad music. No atmosphere.

Production: Garbage.

Burzum is one band that I can't say I simply "don't like". By all standpoints, Burzum is terrible music. I know I'm not the only one in this community that thinks that.

If you can say nothing sane about Power Metal then you know exactly how he feels about Black Metal so why don't both of you quite bitching about it?

I love crappy, minimalistic Black Metal production.
I love harsh, cold Black Metal vocals.
I love grim, evil, simplistic Black Metal riffs.
I love the awkward majestic feeling of it all.

Black Metal is awesome; Burzum is awesome. Some people just don't get it, but I won't hold it against them. What bothers me is that they always seem to complain about it. If you don't like it, don't listen to it, that would thusly leave you with nothing to complain about. Ignore it, and don't start flame wars like this.

I may not be a black metal fan, but the reason for that is the fact that it's generally so crappy. I like all types of metal. If I hear a good black metal band, I'll like it. But I generally don't, and Burzum is definitally no exception. I don't know how you can say that Varg is a good musician. He's not.

No one ever claimed Varg was the next great upcoming musician. We like how he plays, and his style.

indeed, older behemoth is black metal, but has a far more grim production than burzum. face it, you don't like black metal, so keep your mouth shut in black metal treads, if the only this you have to say is that it sucks.
