I would have preferred him to include more songs from "Diary". Still one of Ozzy's better live albums....

Fuck Randy Rhodes. We should be mourning Piggy. He had much more integrity. Still Randy is a sad story. He was manipulated and exploited by the two sleaziest personalities in metal, SHaron, and her down-syndrome-laden husband Ozzy. Even in 81 he was letting her call the shots.

Randy was a great guitarist, i don't think he was manipulated like you said... I think he knew where he wanted to go and that wouldn't have been remaining Ozzy's axeman, he had too much potential for that... but then he died too young, as did Piggy... :cry:

Well Stefan, anytime you add Sharon Osbourne to the mix, you're gonna get some sort of exploitation. I don't think Randy was at all happy with the way things were going. I think there may even have been some interviews with Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake...or whatever their names were, saying that Randy was totally unhappy and tried to leave the band, but Sharon threw some contractual bull shit at him and forced him to stay. She is the devil and has been ruining heavy metal ever since.

One of the best live albums ever. Some of the most tasteful and amazing guitar work ever. Personally, I'm not a fan of the studio albums with Rhodes. As someone who first listened to those albums in the 90s, I though the production a bit lacking, probably due to the fact they were done many years ago. But live albums, even old live albums, bring out the best in the music, and this was the case here.

I can only imagine what Randy Rhoads would have contributed had he not died so young. He'd only scratched the surface of his talent.

Randy Rhodes and Sharon Osbourne had an affair. I didn't make that up.
