Mostly cultural properties. I'll probably end up working for a museum in the aquisitions department drafting contracts for artificats coming in and out of the country. Not too good with business, but I'm a hell of an archeologist!! Funny how that coincides with my love of old metal.

I am a huge history buff. Love ancient history and, therefore, archeology. It is life in good ol' country wasn't quite conducive to be a historian/archeologist, so the childhood dream had to die.
I wish the very best on your exams.

Saying that some bands detune to prevent vocalists from going flat is imo just strange. If a vocalist cant carry a tune in regular tuning he wont be able to do so in any tuning. Does Johnny ever sing out of tune? Not in any song I've heard. In fact he kicks some serious ass. And he reaches the high notes! And my dear Holy Terror you must be one miserable metalhead if you hate most of the modern metal out there. There is definately a lot going for "old" metal but so many new and exiting bands are appearing that you cant but like some of the newer stuff.

And on the point of originality. How many bands out there are truly original. I agree the latest Nocturnal Rites sometimes makes me think of Kamelot and even Masterplan but so what? They have excellent melodies and fun music. Maybe we as metalheads should sometimes be a little less serious about listening to just the most original stuff and start enjoying music.

By the way what bands do it for you?

Cloven Hoof, Satan, WIldfire, Savage, old NOcturnal Rites......I'm pretty picky so it really depends on the little specifics.
