Thank you very much for finally reviewing this album Ian.I've been listening this the whole summer. It's totaly awesome. It reminds me Warmen on most of the songs. The vocals seems to be the only drawback for this band, but it is still quite a spectacular debut album.
This album is all about melody and catchy tunes and it has some of the best key solos i've ever heard.Highly recommended.

Best track: Denied Recollection

Finally, something interesting among the sea of true metal and melodic hard rock reviews. (to be fair, I don't care about a lot of the other stuff either, but it shows up less)

I've caught on to a couple of great bands by way of this site, and it's always depressing when I scan through a week's reviews and get nothing but uninteresting water-tredding 'happy within the confines of their genre' crap.

So cheers to you Ian.

Fuck you, Ian, wherever you are! I had planned on reviewing this bad boy for Monday, started writing a bit and figured I should check to see if it's been reviewed here in the past. Pffft! Ian's a dick!

Here is the end of the first paragraph and the beginning of the next that I had written (it's as far as I got):

Quote:
Of course, there is a downside when so blindly buying music and you’ll find yourself with a few unwanted turds from time to time, but more often than that you find something special, something unexpected that just washes that turdly taste away.

Raintime is no turd.

That about sums it up.

Anyway, this is an album I got cheap from Sensory recently. It's fucking awesome! It's like progressive power/melodic death metal. Definitely a pretty unique style that would seemingly not work, but it really, really does. It's one of the best CDs I've heard in a long time. It's great to hear a band take a style such as power metal and actually add to it and make it something quite unique!

MOOT-LIE
THE EXPERIMENT (Clip)

Do check those links out, this band kicks ass!! They're starting to record their next album at the end of this month! Hells yeah.

This sounds nothing like Warmen, nothing.

You know, I liked you better when it was Zad acting like this.

Just picked this album up. Really fucking good. I can see the warmen solo record comparison but it is only in parts. I guess there is some bodom in here, but they are much more varied (and better). I can sense a bit of Skyfire, another awesome band, in this but Raintime kind of has their own thing going.

This band is something to watch out for. I think a new album is coming soon, if it isnt out already.

Yep, it's coming out soon. There is a new song called "Files & Lies" that you can stream from the following:

It sounds awesome.
