Floor would be a good replacement but that's doubtful due to her involvement with After Forever.

I'm not surprised myself after seeing and hearing about the turmoil that was surrounding the band it doesn't come as a shock.

Or maybe Simone from Epica...

This makes me very very sad. I do not think she is so easily replaceable, I dont like Floor all that much and I dont like Simone that much, if anything, I'd rather they get some unkown opera singer. Or apologize and kiss Tarja's ass... Just kidding with that last part, I know alot here dont seem to care but I do this just totally ruined my day... And the fact that I promised my girlfriend Id take her to see Nightwish on their next tour (Since she loves Tarja so much).

I will get over it I know and as long as Nightwish makes music, I will be happy, I guess I will just really miss Tarja's voice.

EDIT: Im also sad to hear Tarja acted like that, what a bitch!

I still find it hilarious that the band effectively fucked her over with that posting. Great stuff. She must have really done all those things they said for them to do that. She doesn't need them anymore? That may have been true, but after reading that shit people are going to think twice about hiring her. Hahaha. Crazy.

And again, Tuomas is Nightwish, not Tarja. Great voice, but definitely replaceable. Call up that ugly wench from Operatika!

Now we can see just how generic they are without their beloved vamp opera singer..

Or we could see how everyone who said how generic they are was wrong.

I love the way they did this melodramatic letter. Tuomas, you bitch. :P

I'm not really that surprised by this. Tarja always said she wasn't in to metal very much. There are always two sides to every story, but if everything that was written is true they are much better off without her. I've always liked the music in Nightwish more than the vocals. I mean I like Tarja and always enjoyed her vocal contributions to Nightwish but there are plenty of singers out there in her style. I think Nightwish will be fine, as long as they don't get Miss K... heh

But then again, justice has seen the daylight. The letter was a killer and oozes the pain amongst other members. If you jump on that wagon Tarja did, youll end up with the bill - sooner or later.

I hope you're joking! Elisa is a great vocalist, but she would fail miserably in Nightwish. She could join Sinergy and not skip a beat, but she would not do well in Nightwish. No way.

Yes it was a joke. Elisa has already ruined two bands by leaving them, so why don't ruin a third by joining them? :P She is indeed a great vocalist, but she would not fit Nightwish, that's true.

What two bands? Dark Moor and Fairlyland? I really need to get that Fairyland CD.

They kicked her out? I sort of expected this, but really not that soon. I mean, only 3 weeks ago I was seeing them live! I didn't see this coming quite so soon.
Actually I expected her to leave and Nightwish to disband, but I see the boys have other plans and made their move first. It's good news that they'll go on, but I could have lived without that letter. As long as Tarja didn't make any negative comments about them I don't see the need for this public washing of dirty underwear. They could have just said that they have different priorities and end it like that.

I like Tarja, but I also think other singers can fill her shoes. I'm glad I got to see her though, she sang perfectly and she was extremely nice to look at :D

Yes. Fairyland sounds a lot like Dark Moor and Rhapsody, but even more pompous and overblown, so proceed with caution if you don't like the style. It's a great album with some really killer songs but it gets boring in the end.

Well, if what they say in that letter is true than I can see every reason for this. The woman seems selfish and self-centered, she got the rock star attitude and thought she was above the band, thought she WAS the band. This letter effectively knocked her off her high horse. It's probably the only time I've ever read a personal tirade from a band member directed at another band member online and didn't think it was uncalled for.

Yeah, when a CD comes with a fold-out map I think I know what to expect! Hahaha.

Bleh.. When I listen to Nightwish, I don't listen to it for Tarja, who wasn't anything special after their Oceanborn album.

and thus we all lose:

A great Singer that goes away (for money...)

A band with a big job ahead (finding a suitable singer, not an easy task)

The fans if the if the band doens't acomplish... or changes too much.

I'll wait for the best from all.... well not all, if you know what I mean..

Gah, remove the ugly big picture on the first page, its incredibly irritating having to scroll all the time.

OT I was never that fond of Tarjas voice, im sure someone else might do this alot better. Sad way to end it though.

I have a question, why do people think she's hot? She looks like a man, and can't sing for shit, I don't care how many years of opera vocal lessons she took.

OPERA DOES NOT BELONG IN METAL.
