I rated this a 95/100 too! Its the 2nd best Helloween album up to date. Great review btw!
Pleasure Drone, King For 1000 years, occasion avenue are my favorite tracks but all of them are good, except maybe light the universe... Also Mrs God although very catchy and fun at the beginning gets kind of annoying through time.
This album with the new Cryptopsy surely gets on my top 5!!
Great work Helloween!

I agree with you on Light the Universe. I created a new playlist for this album: delete Light the Universe, and substitue Run (from the Mrs. God single) in its place. That makes the album even better for me!

Pffft! I like every song, my least favorite is still "Born On Judgement Day." One of my favorite tracks is "Come Alive," although I suspected other people would dislike it. I'm shocked that "Do You Know What You're Fighting For" didn't get a nod! That's a great tune!

I must comment on this, though:

...Rabbit Don't Come Easy (94 / 100?? What the hell was I thinking!!)...

Come on, man! Don't back peddle! Rabbit is a killer album, well-deserving of a 94/100 rating. I can't understand what people find so displeasing about this album? People treat it as if it's Chameleon/Pink Bubbles Go Ape-type stuff. Weirdness.

And I still stand by it, "Occassion Avenue" is Helloween's best track ever!!

I still like Rabbit Don't Come Easy but it's not a 94 / 100 album. I wanted to address that just in case readers did some back checking and wondered how I could score it a 94 and this new CD a 95. If I were to review Rabbit now, it would be about 85 at best.
I got caught up in th return to the "happy" Helloween sound of that album and overquoted it

Ah... you know an album is good when there isn't consensus on a favorite song. occasion avenue is one of my favs, but Invisible Man and Silent Rain are up there too.

OK, I can see that. You make a good point. Rabbit is definitely not as good as The Legacy, so I see where you're coming from. I would actually rate The Legacy at around a 98, probably. The only thing I dislike about it is "Born On Judgement Day" and that's not even dislike in it's truest form, I just don't like that song as much as the rest, though I still think it's really good.

I would rate Rabbit around a 85-90/100.

Right, someone said "Get It Up" is the best song on the album!

That's interesting

Personally i think that Light Of The Universe is one of the best song on the album.Sure the chorus probably get a bit repetitive after a few spin but it still a great song imo.

On the other hand , i think that we can all agree that Occasion Avenue is a masterpiece. :)

I give this album 92/100 the more I listen to it the more I like it.

It's right up there with Time Of The Oath as my favorite Deris era Helloween album.

Occasion avenue remains my favorite of this album. If Keeper III was Helloween's Operation: Mindcrime then this song would be the album's Suite Sister Mary. I really hope Helloween continue down this musical road on their next release.

It seems you can teach old dogs new tricks.

I really like this album so much to offer Shade in the shadows is a great song. My only complaint with their last cd was the guitar playing but they have turned it around with this release. Would have to say this a better release than Gamma Rays latest.

To quote myself from a while ago, as I'm too lazy to type it all out:

After repeated listens, I give it a 78/100. There are some songs on here which are absoloutely incredible and up to Keepers standards- King for 1000 Years, My Life For One More Day, Pleasure Drone, The Shade in the Shadow. But its just too damn long. Some songs (Invisible Man, Occasion Avenue) go on for way longer then they need to and contain some really dumb parts, which is a shame because there's also some really good stuff in them. Some songs just shouldn't be on here at all; Do You Know What You're Fighting For and Come Alive are basically worthless. This would have been a great 55-60 minute album, but instead its a merely good 78 minute or whatever one.

Yep. A good album, but needs to be shortened.

I haven't liked anything since Kiske and Hansen left but I'm willing to give it a listen. I just don't like the Keeper title being used without those two even envolved, they were the main part of the sound for the Keeper albums.
