HAHA!! This is absolute CHAOS!! I love it.

I wonder what these guys sound like live.

They sound FUCKING AMAZING LIVE, the vocals are 10x better for one, not to mention that lord worm eats worms on stage (obviously) and feeds them to the crowd.

I saw them a few weeks ago with suffocation, aborted, cattle decap, and some shitty despised icon band who were really horrible.

aww man, are you saying that Despised Icon sucked live or you just dont like them? I really want to see them live, but your making me second guess that decision. The Healing Process is a really good disc.

Lord Worm actually eats worms on stage? Holy fuck, I think the ticket price would be worth it just to see him eat the worms.

I had never listened to them before that, and I certainly won't. They were utterly horrible. Not to mention hardcore kids were dancing to them.

I couldn't possibly agree with this review more. I really felt this album was a sort of flawed masterpiece. On the one hand the musicianship is phenomenal (the drumming is downright intimidating) but no matter how hard I tried I could NOT get into the vocals and overall sound.

I liked the higher pitch scream/howl he would do from time to time but the raspy half growl half whisper style that was predominant throughout really ruined it for me. I could barely catch what was being said. I really wished the guitars and vocals stood out more against the drumming, which tended to overpower everything else.

The effects and sampling they threw in to introduce each track helped alot and I wished they had done more of it to sort of break up the brutality a little and contrast it a bit.

I appreciate that these guys play an intense style, but alot if it just tended to blur together. I dunno, just wish the sound was cleaner so you could pick out the guitars and vocals more.

(80/100) I think I would have to be psychotically enraged to listen to this on a regular basis.

Excellent album, 90 from me.

Interestingly, I can see them selling out in a few years based on this. They do have a different idea to songwriting now that Jon left, and whilst this is brilliant, I'm kind of worried as to their future direction....

You're right. Their stuff without Lord Worm got me thinking like that, but now that he's back I'm sure they'll be fine.

This album is a fucking beast. Everything Cryptopsy does is solid. Solid, through and through. I can't get enough of this, it's like sweet nectar. They'll never fail me. Sweet Cryptopsy...
