I'd have thought the smoke would've fucked your taste buds (I could never taste anything when I smoked, except whiskey).

Depends on the beer. Trve kvlt English ale tastes great if you suck it up through your nostrils.

I gave the cigs and cigars up about 2 years ago, they were fucking me up. I was coughing all the time, vomiting, not to mention they took all my cash. Eventually I just thought "why bother?" and quit. Since then I've been much healthier, I can run an extra few feet without having a heart attack, and I have money to spend. On alcohol, natch.

It takes some balls to quit, quite an accomplishment you've done there. I still enjoy it (about 3 years now) but when it becomes like something I feel forced to do I'll quit too. You're right about the money part, I could buy a new album every week if I didn't smoke. I spend like 20 $ every week on poisoning myself. Now that I'm writing it I figured it's pretty stupid to do so. Whatever... I like it.
