I disagree with this. There are some bands that cross boundaries, but genres are based in facts. You can prove that a band plays what it does, as Holy_Terror made an example of in his last post.

Im not saying Nevermore are a thrash band, Im just saying Loomis busts out some pretty fucken thrashy riffs every once in awhile. He even auditioned to be Megadeth guitarist for fucks sake. And just because you disagree doesnt mean im wrong, asswipe.

Jeff Loomis's riffs sounding like Megadeth is further evidence that Nevermore is not thrash...because Megadeth havent been thrash for a long long time. They stopped thrashing after the first album. The rest of the albums are speed metal and shitty power metal.

Loomis doesn't sound "megadeth" imo... he may have auditionned for them but he did not do the job... maybe he has too much musical skills in Dave Mustaine's taste...

anyway, what you said doesn't prove anything but your dislike of megadeth...

HA HA maybe. John Cyriis from Agent Steel also tried out for Megadeth. But I guess he was just too rediculous for Dave. Man they would have been the best band in the world if Cyriis had sung with them.
