i'm sick of these guys.

aside from the NOVELTY factor in Scum (that was the only reason to listen to it anyway) and the cool name they have nothing.

sure they pretty much invented a genre, but they are far from the best at it.

for crying out loud after Scum most of theiur songs just plod along slowly. booooooooooooring!

I think it's a little like with Mayhem, if it had a great impact on the metalscene, it does not have to be good. Scum may have triggered grindcore, but it's not good as an album.

From Enslavement To Obliteration was at least twice as good as Scum. Harmony Corruption was their highlight.

Since then, they've been extremely stable. They've never really released a bad album other then Scum, and that has some great influential 'historical release' value.

Where would extreme music today be without Napalm Death? Try thinking about that before you disrespect them.
