Well, i haven't heard the album itself yet, but I will surely do it quite soon. And I hope that it doesn't resemble Back from the Dead as much as you said it does, Jeff (you don't mind if I'll call you by the name?). Yes, it had it's moments, but, imo, overall it was pretty boring.
From the interview with the band I discovered that they were going to return to their roots. Allen West said that the thing which eventually made the band to split-up was their attitude to the music they created. On the earlier albums they didn't care for the music, they just played it for themselves and did not think about the fans. Later they started to evolve, write meaningful lyrics (or so they tried to), etc. Now, as I previously said, they meant to return "back to chopped down roots" (quote from Lucifugum). This also signifies (I trully hope) the return to their early lyrics which actually are to evoke associations and not to carry any concept.
Infernal Bleeding
"Rot Alone. Destiny, killing the souls of lives at your feet.Dead to its fight.Hell as they said.Killing the darkened rotting fate.Fate. Rot Alone. Bludgeoning hell.Finding their souls and returning to dwell.Killing and bleeding tightened as one.Killing the darkest rotting fate.Rot all lesions.Glory. Rotting, plowed.Dead he's killed your soul.Glory. Rotting flower.Kill."
No problem using the first name basis 8)
This album has much better songs and production than "Back from the Dead". The guitars are really predominant on this one.
