Style wise, the band plays Swedish power metal with heavy metal traces, comparison with fellow Swedes Hammerfall coming naturally, but their sound is somewhat closer to early Falconer, Nocturnal Rites or even Teutonic a la Running Wild with a modern touch. Less bombastic than Hammerfall, almost symphonicless, relying heavily on dual guitar attack with melodic harmonies, a good frontman backed excellent by choir (here and there almost Blind Guardian-like) a solid and gifted rhythm section that allows room for the guitars to battle, the album has a fresh feel, rough and powerful at times, sensible and poetic in other moments.

I am definitley looking into this. Early Nocturnal Rites and Hammerfall, with aggresive vocals (BG and RW)? Fuck yeah.

Running Wild/Hammerfall fans will definitely appreciate this. To bad I'm not much of a Running Wild fan, otherwise I could have really got into this. I just think it takes a really impressive vocalist (Hansi) to pull off aggressive vocals like this. Not a bad release though. 69/100

These fellows are playing Sweden Rock '06, I should probably give them a listen.

I wish I had random Power Metal shows I could go to, or choose from. I haven't been to a show since September when I saw Stratovarius in Chicago (6 hour drive).

Sweden Rock is hardly random! Its my holiday for the year.

But its true the UK is getting a bit more in the way of good shows lately. Dragonforce haven't hurt, even if they do attract posers. I'm stilling pinching myself at the thought of Helloween playing Glasgow in February (and not in a sexual way, for a change).

I just bought an album of theirs recently and it's great! I bought it after I heard the samples from this album on The End Records' site. Definitely a band I'm interested in hearing more from!
