Stange how opinion differ such a lot on that movie, I thought it was one of the greatest movies ever (and I saw A LOT of movies), although I never heard of the commic... People seem to love or hate the movie...

Could you please explain me then what was so good about the movie?

The fact that it's damn original! The narration of the person playing is brilliant, the angles are directly from the commic (which are all awesome), so are the lines. The atmosphere in this movie is simply stunning!!

Sin City reminds me of the PC game Max Payne in more than one way.

Fuck yes. That's to stop the Chuck Norris wankers turning him into some sort of deity.

5/10 from me. It was pretty bad.

I liked some parts of it but, really, what's the point, the message?

Why do films need to have a message?

Well it does feel a little like a waste of time watching something for two hours without having something to reflect upon or learn from it. I wan't movies to inspire and enlighten me. Having something to think about or discuss with someone else, not just about how realistic the blood stains looked.

See this is the thing - just because I say I don't need to learn something from a movie doesn't mean I sat through Stealth to say "hurr hurr stuff got blowed up real good."

Give me an example of a film that has taught you something, Zeth.

Well, a lot of films. I just have a hard time remembering everything. But let's take an easy one; Der Untergang. I learned more about how Hitler were as a person and how the war came to an end. Actually, war movies in general shows a lot about humanity.
And from Bond movies I have learned to be a gentleman...

I watched Downfall again, at school.

It was harrowing.

Bruce Willis' "other" good film, though I'm sure it was more due to Terry Gilliam than BW's acting skills.

THE MAN - my friend wants to watch this, but i wanna watch corpse bride.

the man has an imdb 4.something rating, but on the other hand they also hate american pie there, then again it looks like another white man-black man comedy, but it also has the guy who played Jim's dad in american pie. is it good? please reply asap

Lots of great actors, but the movie was pretty lame.
