i had it on my soulseek wishlist for like 4 hours and it popped up :P

I'm a Shadow's Mind, the clean/death vocals remind me of a less riff happy version of Into Eternity... very good though.

The singer's girlfriend says that the band has gotten quite a few orders since this review went up. They've very appreciative. :D

haha cool... i don't think i've ever just flat out bought anything after reading a review for it =[.

The closest thing to that is my friend i talk to over MSn was like "dude! Strapping young lad are the greatest band ever", and then I saw them at a record store and bought their CD and was like traumatized.

EDIT: Nevermind, I bought Kamelot's new album after reading lord_chimp's review from amazon.com

The mp3 thing is a great idea, by the way. I wonder if it would be too much hassle to do that for all the reviews?

I agree with you 100%, it would save a lot of time trying to google the net and search for mp3 samples. I like the clip and will probably check out the whole CD, but I'd need more confirmation...

*waves* Yep, I had to pop in to say thanks and check out this site a bit more. I don't buy a lot of cd's since there's STILL no really good places to get a preview of what you're buying, so I figure it's a good place to go for some background on possible additions to my music collection.

It's obvious that you have excellent taste too, so ahhh,... heheheh :P

self-financed?? impressive!

i liked the riffing and the death vocals, but the clean ones.. not my cup of tea. regardless i'll mention the band to any Nevermore fans i meet.

and like Carnifex said... would it be too much trouble to link an mp3 for reviews whenever possible? and i mean directly, not an "mp3 page", because when i see those bands post like 5 songs and i don't know which to get first and end up not listening to them at all.

I'll try to do that with all my reviews, but only official links. I won't post any myself in the review. The Ramallah review I did, the only MP3 available kind of contradicted my review, though, which sucked! Hahahaha!

A little bump for some of the noobs. I just listened to this album again tonight and it still remains one of the baddest metal albums I've heard in years! And considering they're still essentially an unknown band, that is awesome!

Here's a video: HELL AND TORMENT :dio:

Sample for every track here: http://cdbaby.com/cd/coredevice

What? Where's Ken?!?!
I was just googling and checking back in... the guys have indeed been signed, to Heaven and Hell Records, as of a few months ago. New album, "What I've Become" is due out this month. They're taking preorders if anyone is interested (and of course, Fellowship is still available)
Sorry for being absent so long. I promise to be around more =)

Indeed, good job. I'm starting to get more into Nevermore, so I'll probably be checking this out.
