I would hardly call this "just another metalcore album". No other metalcore band writes riffs/solos as well as CoB do (at least none that I've heard). Yes it does have its low points, and shitty lyrics, but it still has all the stuff I love CoB for (cheesy keyboards, great riffs, and great solos) throughout most of the album.

My friend bought this and we listened to it a couple of times, this doesn't even sound like Children, let's hope the next one is going to be better because this is beginning to sound like Nu-Metal. 40% because the solos still kick ass and because they played Lake Bodom when I saw them on tour 8). They kick so much ass live! I hope they won't sell out like In Flames did.

I'd compare this to In Flames' clayman. A step down no doubt, more simplistic, but it has some great moments(living dead beat, are you dead yet?, trashed lost & strungout). Of course we hope that they wont take the path In Flames did, I'm not sure though......I see the next COB album being full nu-metal, methinks.

i was talking to a kid who was wearing an "Are You Dead Yet?" t-shirt. Of course we started talking about Hatebreeder. I asked him if the new is worth picking up, he said "Yes its worth picking up, it sucks, but its worth picking up" Haha so it must have somthing in it to make a hypocritical statement like that.

Yes, I completely agree. Stabbing the Drama (track) is still a really good song in my opinion and it was awesome seeing them play it live. New CoB isn't the best thing ever, but I enjoy it. 75/100.

I gave a 70/100. It's not thaaaat bad. I really like Living Dead Beat and Trashed Lost and Strungout. They should have put Knuckleduster in the album, that song is very good too.

The sad part is that the "jesus-christ-these-guys-are-geniuses" feeling (from hatebreeder and FTR) is pretty much gone. They'll become just another "OK" band if they follow this path ...

I remember Bastards of Bodom being tolerable....but then I have tried to put the whole unpleasant experience out of my mind. I might give it another spin later...
