THE MAN - my friend wants to watch this, but i wanna watch corpse bride.

the man has an imdb 4.something rating, but on the other hand they also hate american pie there, then again it looks like another white man-black man comedy, but it also has the guy who played Jim's dad in american pie. is it good? please reply asap

Couldn't tell you dude. But my guess would be, suckiest film that has ever sucked.

someone mentioned the 40 year old virgin. what a shitty movie! it had potential to be hilarious but you could see every single joke coming up. the "story" itself is also boring and detracts from the "comedy" even more.

also a note to the idiots who rated the movie - because it had a 12 + rating i took my stepmum to see it. baaaaaaaaaaaaad idea.

Saw Narnia and King Kong today, Narnia was really disappointing but King Kong was amasing, one of the absolutely best movies of the year.

Saw Corpse Bride. A bit disappointing but an okey film. The songs are pretty lame and I never really got any sympathy for any of the characters. Stale movie, but very pretty and well made.

Howl's Moving Castle.
I'll cut it simple and short - one of the most genius and best films ever made. It’s so hard to describe the movie but the feeling of freedom and love shown on the screen is just impeccable. I shed a tear at the end and I’m not the least ashamed to say so.
The film is certainly not for everyone, but I hope some of you will find it joyfull and stuff.

i hated that Castle movie.

just got back from "The Man" and 1h30 of listening to Slayer on my friend's car. it's actually funny. the story is weak but there are nice jokes. a good movie to see if you're bored. Samuel L. Jackson kicking ass, of course.

Well said. I was also expecting more of the chacter he played in Anchor Man (the retarded weather man). I'm not expecting a replica or anything, but he was damn funny in that movie.

Eulogy--pretty good comedy

Anocondas--it was ok

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy--disappointing, had potential to be a lot better if there were more and better jokes. Most jokes were of the "amusing" variety rather than "LOL"

no, the cameo appearances were the best, especially that 5 or 6 way Gang(gangs of New York parody) fight and Tenacious D kicking the Dog.

Ben Stiller is not funny. Neither are his other "chums".

Is my name Zadagast? Rad? Radsterboombastictotallyfantasic? Where did I say I like Steve Carell?

I've never even seen the two films people talk about him for being in (although he's quite good in the US Office).

Ya fud, Winter.

For the record, I don't like him either. But, he was the best thing in Anchorman.

Sophicticated comedy can be ok at times, but for the most part it's laaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

Is anyone here a fan of Curb you Enthusiasm? Kinda sophisticated, I suppose. I just bought season 1 on DVD.

That show is amazing, I find I'm laughing from start to finish. Me and my GF watched seasons 1 through 4 in about 2 weeks and now we are on season 5.. I need more!
