Damn, I'm so proud of being finnish right now. We have such an amacing scene right now with hordes like Horna, Noenum, Behexen, Clandestine Blaze, Satanic Warmaster, Azaghal, Baptism. You cant deny that, comrades in battle?

No way one could deny that! for me, especially Horna, Noenum and Baptism jump out, and maybe azaghal...

Indeed; the Finnish scene is amazing.

I'll go with Satanic Warmaster, Clandestine Blaze, Baptism and Wyrd.

Kreator "Enemy of God" (they're back at top form... classic 80's thrash with powerful modern production, 2005 starts so well !)

up next :
Dark Tranquillity "Character"

This may not do anything for my street cred, but...
NP: Temples of Syrinx by Rush. Not listening to 2112, but one of the greatest hits CDs. I haven't gone back to replace all my old vinyl and cassettes!

It reminds me of being in junior high. I remember going to the bus stop and some kid, for some reason, was carrying the new Rush LP with him (it was Signals). AC/DC and Rush were like the SHIT back then. Now it's like all 40 and 50 year old geezers listening to them. I wonder if there's any room for death or black metal to get even more brutal.

Maybe I shoulda posted this over at the power metal section?

Yeah, I always wonder what amazing new Black Metal will my grandsons listen (if any)? What new and amazing styles will be developed in Black Metal? Which actual bands will be regarded as we now regard Emperor, Darkthrone or Burzum?

Rush is great. there's nothing wrong with taking a break from SATAN DEATH AND DESTRUCTION RAAAR every now and then.

though i hate their old shit, those vocals were terrible, Geddy sounded like a gay midget back then.

Hmm, france is pretty close to Netherlands if I remember right?
They have some good underground distros there that accept wellhidden cash as a payment. You should try some of them, if ordering from a different country aint a problem. Here are few interesting ones:

www.debemur-morti.com (I'll propably order some stuff from them soon)
www.ordealis.com

I dont know if they are reliable, but I have heard good stuff about them.

well, it wasnt really my think. I gues it could be recommended to fans of melodic and somewhat folkish black metal. And, Nokturnal Mortum is very VERY NSBM, I know this can be a problem for some people.

Yeah, that's a problem for many people...

Anyway, production could be better, music is good...
Like it was on the "Goat Horns" 1998, and they were signed on Nuclear Blast....( )
Probably they weren't so NS :)

Is there any bands from ex USSR, which you ytard and liked?

Ok, I think you're speaking about Norway's Uruk-Hai. Well that's not the one. This one is from Spain, meant to be a side-project of Nazgul members (Defernos & Thorgul), it released only 1 EP (the one I'm listening to) & 1 Split with Isenheim (good one, but there are only 2 songs, per 1 from each band).

And yes, it FUCKING KILLS!!!

Awesome acoustic intro, followed by 12 minutes of pure black. It all ends with a great acoustic outro. The contrasts between the beginning+ending and the rest of the EP do their job

Drudkh is fucking fabulous. I also like Hate Forest, and Loits and Dissimulation seem rather interesting. Im not so familiar with the scene or other bands from ex USSR areas. Feel free to inform me however.
