Watched Dario Argento's Inferno last night, then read about it in Art of Darkness: The cinema of Dario Argento. Man, I'm turning into such a fanboy of that guy. (I just ordered another 5 of his films off amazon) :D

In related news, turns out he scuppered the planned Hollywood bastardization of Suspiria by telling the production team they'd pretty much have do do it over his dead body- something Romero failed/decided not to do. He really ist so fucking krieg.

A moronic one, no. A sophisticated one, yes.

Sophicticated comedy can be ok at times, but for the most part it's laaaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

Is anyone here a fan of Curb you Enthusiasm? Kinda sophisticated, I suppose. I just bought season 1 on DVD.

That show is amazing, I find I'm laughing from start to finish. Me and my GF watched seasons 1 through 4 in about 2 weeks and now we are on season 5.. I need more!

Seen up to season 4, but have no idea when 5 will be available in the UK. It's rapidly hurtling up towards the loftier places in my top ten sitcoms list

£15... Not sure how many dollars that is though, perhaps about 20? Maybe a bit more at a guess.

The last week I saw King Kong and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The HP film was a nice surprise, by far the best HP film yet. And King Kong was awesome.

Profondo Rosso. More Argento, w00t! Second time I've seen it and still not as good as Suspiria and Inferno, though.

Even if one day you met her, she wouldn't look at you, you know. You'd be better off "going down the local" and "eyeing up the talent", if you know what I mean.

Zad, you so crazy! I mean another film directed by her ugly father Dario... My favourite director of the moment.

He's a funny-looking guy, isn't he? Like that bald referee whose name I can never remember, and pope Siduous XVIII.

Indeed. Pierluigi Collina with hair. Asia's mother (also an actress) isn't especially hot either, so... one of genetic's mysteries. But his films are awesome if you can see past the usually uninspired dialogue and shoddy dubbing. (Subtitle, please!)

Well, I don't consider her that good-looking, so not much of a mystery for me. :P And I haven't seen any of his films, so can't comment.

Ooooh watch Suspiria! But they take a lot of getting used to. Italians make strange horror films, in my experience :? Frequently they really seem careless and amateurish, but if you can overlook those moments there is sometimes real genius in evidence.

Constantine. I don' think I truly understood how bad an actor Keanu Reeves is until this movie. Make him deliver more than 2 complete sentences in a row and he begins to sound like a caricature of himself. Script and plot were first rate, however.

Saw the Legend of Zorro. It was okay, kinda campy, but not so much as the old ones. Wouldn't watch it again though.
