I may need to give these guys another go. I have a few songs from Sanctus Ignis and they don't do much for me, but they may have improved.

I first heard Sanctus Ignis when I was really big on Progressive Neo-Classical (when I got into Time Requiem). That is why I found that album to be so awesome. This new album, on the other hand, veered away from that sound and went more towards prog/power with Edu Falaschi sounding vocals. Check out the new album man. I think you'll find it easier to get into than Sanctus Ignis.

Also, didn’t you say you liked Time Requiem? Well, Richard Anderson (main song writer behind TR) plays keys on Sanctus Ingis. Of course they aren’t as blatant as they are with Time Requiem.

Sanctus Ignis i think is too derivative.Underworld on the other hand was much more complex and original, more memorable overall. It was unique, in fact.Highly powerful arrangements, kind of a mix between Castlevania 3 music and Star Wars soundtrack. But i'm reading now they are more power metal? As i said, i will try to listen before i buy.

Nope. Are they as good as this?

They sound different than this one, so it is hard to judge. I'd say no, but they are still definitely worth checking out. David Readman is an amazing vocalist.

Well, still haven't seen it in stores here, damnit.

So I just downloaded it (will buy it as soon as I can). First impression: wow, just wow.

I really liked the vocals on the previous albums, but Gus is a more than worthy replacement. Even better than I expected (and I had high hopes)

I finally managed to listen this a few times and i'm surprised at how different it is compared to the band previous albums. When the first song ended (Fire Forever) i thought i was listening to Temple Of Shadows because of the new singer. Fortunatelly the rest doesn't sound much like Angra but i can't believe Adagio have simplified they're sound and turned (mostly) power metal. After all this you'd think i hated Dominate but no, actually i liked it and will give it 85/100.

Sanctus Ignis>Dominate>Underworld :dio:
