What happened to this week's review of Machine Head's Burn My Eyes?

As a classic? :?

Yes.

Even if you don't like the album, you can't deny the influence it had.

Hmm. I honestly didn't know it had that much of an influence. This is news to me, though. At least I know now.

In Short: Machine Head is the missing link between nu-metal and Pantera.

Therefore, it had influence. Much influence.

I still think Satan and Heathen take priority over this...

If you were 2 years old or under the age of, say, 12 when Burn My Eyes came out, I'm not sure how you can even begin to dispute it's influence. That album is brutal metal at it's best! When that album came out the metal scene went nuts over it! It's a classic and it's NOT nu-metal.

And Zad, Al reviewed it but I guess it wasn't posted. It's still out there, though. I wonder if it was overlooked by mistake.

it appears in the search, methinks there is a technical problem.

Many groups found on this thread are well-known and do not need reviewing-after all, we can found them elsewhere (Iron maiden, Judas priest...). I'd vote for reviewing of less known groups.

My tip: Treat-Dreamhunter (hardrock of late 80's)

The problem with that is that its not a metal album. And while I think its very important to enlighten people of lesser known classics, it also is very important to pay homage to bands like Maiden and Priest.

Ved Buens Ende - Written in Waters

I got Ved Buens Ende-Written in Waters about 6 months ago. It certainly is artistic. I enjoy it a great deal but don't reach for it very often.

faith no more's not metal anyway, unless you want to have an argument about the track "Malpractice" from Angel Dust, that'll be fun and pedantic. :x

Heaven's gate-In control
Ultraclassical yet neglected. How could that happen? Sascha Paeth is important name in today's world of metal(Kamelot,Rhapsody...) but only a few are aware of his work in Heaven's gate.

Therefore by this site's definition of a 'classic' it is not fit for a classic review! *takes gloves off*
Don't make me go all old school on your ass. :x
