as for V being an asshole, in many ways I agree, you know that... only, it's not a reason to ban him... even more when you were the one arguing with him... (okay I know it wasn't you who banned him, it was Mike, but I'm pretty sure you were glad he was). all you had to do was to ignore him, like I did with WiC (and Valefor, yes !)when he became too annoying... that was the grown-up way to take things but you choosed otherwise and as a conclusion of both V's and your behaviour V got banned and you got nothing ? fair ?

so stay as a mod, reviewer and forumite, please, let's bring Belethor/Valefor back, please, and let's stop the madness... wouldn't that be the reasonable thing to do ?

I gotta say I think this whole thing is WAAAAAYYY too overblown.

No kidding. Eyesore does not deserve the position of power he is in and intends to use. He is a relative forum newbie to many of the posters here. He has proven on many occasions that he simply cannot let simple let sleeping dogs lie. His throwaway comment after I thought my fight with him was over on the locked Evanesence thread is testament to that. We had agreed to move on, then he makes this statement "emperor called me a prick for no reason". I had a reason for calling him that, obviously. Anyhow I had apologized to him directly and humbly because I was wrong. But he obviously couldn't move on.

that sure defines hims as "not mod material", but I give him the benefit of the doubt after what happened lately... I think it's possible he changes even if it doesn't look that way yet... let's trust miracles happen brothers !

How in God's name have I abused my powers as a mod for people to be claiming I'm not fit to be one??? Someone quote some shit if it's so goddamn common! Valefor started a flame that didn't involve him in the first place. You called me a prick based on a running joke with me here. Lesson learned, I'll never say "black metal sucks" again. That comment deserved your "you're a prick" comment? :shock:

I can let things lie, I've done so before. Again, this is a messageboard and people WILL disagree and it will NOT always be in a nice manner. You argue in a mature and intelligent way. Valefor did not. He argued angles and points that he shouldn't have been arguing had he simply acknowledged things I was saying. Fine, my PM was ill-advised. It still contained neither insults or verbal attacks of any sort.

And my comment about moderating is no threat. I've said it before, I'd rather not moderate unless I have to. People don't like when they're moderated, but you're asking for it here. I mean, people are fucking requesting it. I don't want to do it, but if you want me to, sure. You won't like it, though. That's what I'm saying.

And for the record, I had one argument with Dead Machine prior to becoming a moderator. I have not changed one bit since I joined this board, but the instance I became a mod some of you people jumped on my case. Now tell us all again, who has the Us vs. Them complex??

It defines nothing. That statement is flat out incorrect. He had no reason to call me a prick.

Ok. That was a reasonable post. I was offended that you brought up my comment after I thought we moved on, even if it was in a throwaway context.

I know Dead Machine and you like to argue, but I don't understand how earlier in the day you are good friends and later in the day you are telling him to "grow up". I'm not Dead Machine's champion or anything, a few months ago I really disliked his personality. Today things did snowball, and I'm sorry we piled it on you. Some of us, myself definitely included, can appear like total assholes on the internet at times. But all this fighting is ridiculous today. I'm going to check out the link you provided on the doom metal forum, and provide feedback. That's the way this place is supposed to work.

Many of us used to remember Valefor as one of our favorite members, but the fact remains that he did use our argument to try and tear you apart, which was unfair.

can't you realise you can very well be a prick while acting by the rules ? why do you have to be so stubborn, so sure that you're right all the time ? not once have a soul seen you apologizing about your behaviour around here... you acted like a prick proving yourself to be a very bad moderator, deal with it... even better, use it to change yourself into a better mod', i'm sure it's all inside of you... let it come out man, we all need it to come out !!!

I totally agree... at first it was fun, now all we want is things back the way they were (before Belethor got banned) and let those two (B & Eyesore) not speak to each other if they can't behave...

You've been very vocal in your opposition to the fallout of this "war." Now, you're starting threads which are very quick to assign definite blame.

However, I find a previous post of your to be quite a paradox to what you are saying today.





At that point, I thought we had a truce, and thus the thread would fall to the bottom of the page, and eventually die.

My question is this: If you are so upset with the consequences of this "war," why did you stand on the sidelines throwing grenades once a truce had been reached? You weren't exactly a broker of peace in this instance. Hell, even saying nothing at all in this situation would have been helpful.

I'm not saying that you're holding the smoking gun in your hand, but one can only wonder if we'd be having this discussion now had you not made that perpetuating comment.

Of course, you're free to vent your opinions here, but if you're going to dish out blame so vehemently and definitively, you should also be willing to accept full accountability for the blood stains on your hands.

I have no problems with Aaron, he's a good kid and very intelligent, but I think sometimes he reverts back to a typical 15 year old shithead. He's proved time and time again that he's better than that, hence my "grow up" comment.

As for Valefor, I did not ask that he be banned, I did not care either way. His banning came after a long history of problems under another name, a guest and this newest account. His disruption of this site also extends beyond the board. It's bigger than just him being a dick on the messageboard. Mike has already explained this, someone should read it.

I am a member of this forum like everyone else, do not tell me to be a better moderator when you know damn well you don't want a moderator here.

I will not apologize for disagreeing with someone, but if I have come off the wrong way to someone here I have apologized. My behavior is not an issue at all because my behavior has not been out of line. Again, I implore you to prove that point. Then we'll talk.
