Yet another killer BM review from Daniel.

It seems i'll have to check this band out. I've been liking a lot of Norma Evangelium Diaboli stuff lately, and judging by the review, Funeral Mist would not be an exception.

Omg Daniel you fucking rule dude! This is one of my favourite albums and Perdition's Light is one of my favourtie songs of all time. I agree with everything said on this review and the score. A fucking amazing masterpiece this album truly is.

nice review. I'm ashamed to admit that I'm not familiar with funeral mist.

and it's a nice little coincidence that we both reviewed albums with the same name, haha

You rarely write reviews these days, but you cover big blanks with them, Daniel.

What was wrong with my review on this album  Ow well... Great review of an outstanding album, but I'd rate it a little lower: 80/100
I love the commanding centurion on vocals, it's awesome!

NoEvDia is without a doubt the best BM label at the moment. Everything released through it will surely please the most strict BM taste. A truly elite label. DsO, FM, Ondskapt and Katharsis. Need I say more? Oh, and thanks for the undeserved compliments, the worship should be reserved to the BM godz FM.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who recognizes the power of this Satanic opus. Brothers in Metal we are!

After writting the review (it took me quite a while) I went into the backstage and saw a review for Salvation had been entered. I almost had heart burn... then I noticed it was CoL... I almost die there... now go get this album you MB poser.

I hope that changes soon. Life can be a bit restrictive at times with Uni and all. I'll work harder and cover even more ground.

You know you love this one Misha, no shame on giving a high score to an album like this one :P And yes, the vocals are awesome... the best vocal work in ages...

Then make some time for it!

Great album, great band, great review :D

Arioch's performance behind the mic is actually responsible for making me want to resume my role as a vocalist, thus resurrecting a defunct band... so I have one more reason to love this one!

Arioch is god. I have heard from many reliable sources that he did not use any kind of production polishing while recording his vocals. All you hear is this man(?)'s unaltered, pure voice. He is truly amazing.

This sounds really awesome, especially so because I've been thinking about wanting to listen to some more ultra fast, brutal BM recently. Excitement...

This kind of bombastic black metal isn't usually my thing, but this is pretty good. 75/100 after my first listen.

No effects ? What the FUCK?

I announce this man the best extreme metal vocalist ever.

Quite probably. Another excellent contemporary BM vocalist would be Imperial from Krieg. His vocals in The Black House are amazing, but even so Arioch beats him by a mile.

My favourite used to be Imperial but yes Arioch is better.

He uses a lot of double tracking, but I would hardly consider that an effect - you have more than one voice going at the same time, but they all come from your throat as they are. He used some effects on Devilry; I don't remember about this album so well since I haven't heard it in a long time (yes, I haven't bought it yet... fuck, does it suck to be broke; and no, don't mention filesharing because I fucking hate mp3's). However, I saw him live with Marduk, and I can tell you that he's got quite an awesome pair of lungs.
Imperial is another great choice, amazing range and power. Which reminds me I need to give a spin to Patrick Bateman...

Listening to Circle Of Eyes right now, and it's pretty bloody good. Another good review, Mr D.

I mentioned that on the review. He sometimes even goes beyond two tracks.
