Just because you like to mask your insults in various ways doesn't mean you can fool everyone here into thinking you aren't throwing them. Do you really think that it's some amazing coincidence that a number of the people on this forum accuse you of the same thing? It's obvious many don't think you should have been modded in the first, and now the largest portion of vocal members are siding against you in this latest V. problem.

Christ, if you'd just stop acting so damn untouchable and pure you might piss a lot less people off. But no, just keep on doing your thing, because as the past has proven the outcry of the members of this forum and all the discussion in the world amounts to nothing in the eyes of those who run this site.

Mask my insults? If I choose to insult someone I insult them. I mask nothing. Again, please find examples and we'll talk. I mean, so many vocal members must mean that my insults are blatant and rampant. So find them.

I think everybody just takes things the wrong (or right) way differently. Meaning, So and So#1 said this, but So and So #2 took it this way when really So and So#1 wanted to say this. The internet makes it hard to decipher how somebody is saying something. I could say FUCK YOU!!! But you would have no idea I said that in a very high pitched voice with a lot of sarcasm while cracking my voice and winking at you. I know we can type little words like *Wink* *High Pitched Voice* *I farted while saying this* but things still get taken the wrong way.

No, not at all. Nice that you pulled it completely out of context to prove your point. People usually do that when they're wrong. That was not an insult.

And my PM to Valefor did ask him if he was stupid, but what was the entire point of what I said in that PM? Don't pull a sentence or a word out of an entire thought and then try and argue it. What was my point there? It was the same point I tried to make a bunch of times previous to that.

But since you missed it: I was asking him why he insists on arguing with me about something he shouldn't be arguing about. Especially considering that it didn't involved him in the first place and that I'd explained myself a millions times already. I then said fine, whatever, and suggested that he argue something that makes sense next time.

Yes, it was sarcastic, but sorry, my friend, it was not insulting. This is almost identical to what I said the first time to him, and the second and third and fourth. My attitude came later. Maybe I'm crazy, but this doesn't seem like a very hard concept to grasp for even a complete idiot, everyone here should be able to understand this.

I think Valefor and Eyesore are the same person.

Some very good points here. Most everybody here is a "regular," and can usually discern what is serious and what is not. Usually. I know many people think the smileys are gay or whatever, but maybe they can actually serve a purpose.....

The happiest day of my life in the last two months - I asked to remove myself as a moderator and got my wish (Mike, I feel your pain). I felt I had no right to have my name listed as a moderator if I have no time to devote to moderation. Especially, to moderate something that is completely unmanageable. I have made my commitment to this site more than 2 years ago, and I have kept it. You may or may not like my reviews, you may or may not like the material I had a chance to review - that is secondary. I applied for the job, I got the job, so I kept it and stuck to it.

Here is the case with V. He applied for the job shortly after me, he got the job, he wrote less than dozen of reviews, then he said he can't keep this commitment because he needs to devote more time to his family, career, etc. This is fair. What is not fair is to resign based on those grounds and then start posting what I have quoted below from Blackmetalreviews.com thread:



How come you do not have time to commit to reviewing, but you have time for 1365 forum messages? At that point I stopped calling it resignation on family grounds, but start calling it quitting. And quitting on a team, any team, is not a very respectable thing to do.
I guess I am echoing Mike's statement in some regards.

I have asked the same message Valefor, directly, in the past, and in my opinion he simply dodged the answer. If you decided to quit, then you have no right to complain about the contents of the site, review material, etc., because if it is so bad, why did you just blow your chance to better it??

I don't know who valefor actually is in real life, but I always thought he was a great poster. Flame wars happened here all the time as far as I can remember, sometimes they were enormous, sometimes they were small, but everytime it all solved by itself.

WiC was an example of why should a member be banned (although I could care less about the porn crap he posted, I understand that a lot of people could be offended and even get in trouble).

His posts about black metal music, recommending bands, etc. were great, no question. His posts criticizing the site having just quit on the reviewership were a stab in the back. If he felt there was a problem, he should have been sticking around to fix it, not preach from the soapbox how many/little BM is being reviewed.
