Which Behemoth era is your fav?

I'm more into their BM period (although I really like their DM stuff too).

Sventevith is amazing... I love how they use acoustic guitars in some songs, and the interludes are so awesome... not to mention the killer voice and drumming... and well... everything.

I love Sventevith.

Definitely death, their black era was amateurish and generally lousy when compared to so many other bands.

Death all the way. Although I also like Sventevith. It was a little hard to decipher b/c it had some of the worst production I have ever heard, but it was still good. Behemoth is one of the bands who got me into more aggressive sounding music.

I think Sventevith has a distinctive vibe... romantic, yet agressive. But I can see where you're coming from... although I would't say lousy.

I'll try looking into their older stuff later, but I probably wont like it as much. Satanica is pretty special to me, as it is what got me into more brutal metal styles.

At the very least, amateurish. Plus a lot of bands (Rotting Christ pre sellout) capture that sort of vibe.

Rotting Christ certainly sold out, but they are still enjoyable.

Old Rotting Christ is killer. I love that old school Greek sound.

I'm gonna do what you guys don't expect from me and vote for the death era. Even though I like Sventevith and Grom, the death era of Behemoth is really something special, something different from the rest.

Btw I haven't heard the new Rotting Christ and don't intend to do so, "A dead poem" still remains one of my favourite albums, even though it's probably their most accesible album I've heard by them.

Satanica and Thelema.6 are my favorite albums by them...

I take it you voted for the death era.

I'd definitely have to say death. Demigod owns.

Death, but there's some good stuff in the BM era. Esp. Grom.

BM one.

I adore everything they released before Pandemonic Incantations. Or it will be more precisely for me to say before Bewitching the Pomerania EP, although this EP was still very good (I can't say the same thing about the full-length that followed up soon after the EP), I didn't loved it the same way I loved their earlier stuff. ...From the Pagan Vastlands demo is my favourite with everything else being not too far behind (Yes, I'm that kvlt).

The DM era didn't do much for me. It's good, but I treat it as nothing special.

Both I'd say.

Rotting Christ sold out? I just thought they sounded kind of like an evil Therion...
