Falling in love is mostly a process of self persuasion. Persuade yourself the opposite, try seeing her from a slightly different perspective than the one you had until now and it will pass. And start dating all sorts of other girls, trust me, there will always be a lot of other interesting women to meet out there ;)

Any port in a storm. The poor lad needs comforting, not your sarcastic comments! Piss off and write some software, you cruel bastard. I can hear your evil mocking laughs from all the way up here.

Laughter is the best medicine... and there's nothing funnier than watching me try to write software.

But anyway, cheer up Sifl. I've been there many times before and the thing to do is turn the eye of sauron somewhere else, as Wanksalot so wisely suggested.

I should also add for the single folks among us that when you see people who do have partners don't ever think "Well what the hell am I doing wrong? Why is it so easy for them?" because I guarantee we have all had many many many romantic disasters, humiliations and false starts before getting to where we are now. Keep at it my boy, treat each one as a learning experience until you find the right combination.

This is kinda like the situation that I'm in. I'm fuckin' nuts over this one girl, but I found out that she's already got a boyfriend. However, this boyfriend isn't in the same school. He's not even in the same state. Hell, he's not even in the same country.

It makes me wonder how a relationship like that stays alive, but I guess you have to be pretty faithful to do so... Which is bad news for me. :?

Well, I guess I can be contented with just being her friend, which I am, by the way. :D

Make sure you're ready then for when she finally realises long distance relationships are impossible.

"Between men and women there is no friendship possible. There is passion, enmity, worship, love, but no friendship."
Oscar Wilde

I absolutely agree with him.

Remember the guy was biased. Hardly likely to get good feelings for women from a homosexual, are you, especially back then...

I disagree with Oscar Wilde. I can think of at least two women that I value as friends but have never once felt enmity, worship, passion or love towards.

OK, that wasn't put very well. Oscar Wilde was a bit of a misanthrope, is what I'm getting at, and added to his sexuality, he's hardly going to have the highest feelings for les femmes is he?

And are you really bisexual, or is this a joke? You've only started mentioning it recently....

Edit:

as for females, errrr, Carn is nice but not my kind of nice (no offence Carn...)...
