When you get drunk... (Here's what not to do)

...save yourself some fucking embarrassment, and keep the apologies to a minimum. I was at my weekly AA-like therapy meeting, and some newbie showed up tanked off her ass. In between stories of a horrible childhood, and being called out for showing up drunk, she must've randomly stopped, and said 'sorry' 459 times. "So, that's when my father... Sorry. Everyone, I'm sorry." Then the counselor would say, "Just go on." And she'd be all, "Sorry. Okay. (pause) Sorry." Jesus, everyone gets it, you're drunk as hell, you're gunna say some retarded shit. We UNDERSTAND. We don't need you to confirm it.

With AA, you can show up drunk if you have a true desire to stop drinking.

This was group therapy, and the policy is no drinking or drug use while you are attending. 90% of those who attend HAVE to by court order.

Beleive me, I know all to well. I was one of those court ordered not too long ago. I showed up tanked all of the time just to flip the system off.

I can usually hold myself together in the face of utter drunkenness. People usually can't figure how drunk I am just from looking at me, and I can still speak coherently. That doesn't mean that the things I actually say are pretty stupid, though 8)

Yeah me too. I often get that "why did you say something that stupid" look when I'm expecting the "uh-huh you drunk bastard" look. Which is fine by me.

I guess the effects are different for everyone. When I'm drunk I get extremely chatty and I start laughing like an imbecile. I can speak coherently and start teling long stories but if I try to walk I walk funny or try unintentionally going through closed doors.

The most embarrasing things I've done that I can remember

1- Sat on someones birthday cake
2- Touched a friends cousins boobies (could be intentional though)
3- no I'm definitely not saying this one.

No one can tell if I had ten tequila or none, I just get happier, but often I'm happy without the booze as well. Only when I get really drunk you can see me walking a little bit funny. I've fallen down once when drunk, which was while cycling. I'm not getting drunk anymore though...

List of stupid shit done when drunk:
1. Built a snowman inside the bar
2. Taking scavenged 6 foot paper hoses to the bar
3. Throwing up in someone's toilet
4. Throwing up in my own toilet

Looks like pretty innocent to me
