Believe me when I tell you it ain't worth it to shell out $25 for this one. Download it first and then decide, because there are hundreds of better albums than this one......

It's not out yet, and I HIGHLY doubt that it will sell out in 2 days or something... Majestas Leprosus is still widely available, and has even been repressed.
I'd be more interested in the box, though... but I know I will buy this one, or the collector fever in me won't let me sleep ;)

This is basically music I'd love to have to throw in my CD player right before I go to sleep, because I've never been less enthused about a band in my entire life. Why did this album get such a high score? Danny flat out says buy something else...


And I'm flatout saying that if I wanted to listen to listen to fuzz on the TV, I'd do that. Even Velvet Cacoon was more engaging than this stuff.

isn't it a bit overrated ? by what you're writing I guess you think it's a good album but not great... by Metal Reviews standards, your 70 means "very good" so this should be around 60/65...

I don't want to be a pain in the arse but if everybody has its own rating system nobody will understand anything with the ratings here anymore...

I said that it isn't worth paying $25 on E-bay instead of the regular $11 or $12 you would pay by ordering from the site.

Music you'd love to play before you sleep? Why's that? Have you heard the album or any Mütiilation release? If you have, please explain more so I can understand what you're saying.

I'm confused by your post, I honestly didn't understand half of what you're trying to say.... :? .

I think that the description of the album fits with the quote I gave it, maybe to some people it gave another impression, but I think it's OK. 70 says to me: "If you like BM then get this album, you'll enjoy it, not love it, but you sure will enjoy it", a score in the 60's says to me: "Maybe you should look for something else..." and I definitely wanted to express the first, thing that I think I did.

There is nothing wrong with the review, nor with the score, this is a good album and 70 means it's a good album...

What I meant Deathkvlt is that the two songs from two different releases that I've heard aren't the best... no, fuck it. I would never buy a Mutiilation release, because I was actually put to sleep by Testimony of a Sick Brain, and I was blasting it as loud as I could to try and get the full effect...

Christ, all I could think was, "Shit... this album was rated a 70... it must be great." I know two songs off of two albums doesn't mean anything, ... to an extent, but goddamn this was terrible.


And about Velvet Cacoon: At some level, I'm sure they are cool. In fact, I envy their ability to create new instruments. But, I think they are garbage, and are no more talented than a guy humming to TV Fuzz. So, saying what I'd heard from VC was more engaging than Mutiilation was an insult to Mutiilation. Though, I guess I can't really knock a band for trying. They have their fans, but I have my own standards.


AND and I agree that the scoring could be better. Like, five people score the same album, then you average it out. I'm tired of every single BM band getting an outrageously high score, when superior acts are getting 70's-80. But, then again, I suppose you guys are doing me the favor when you review albums.
