They are back. Finally :)

When Marc Storace (vocalist) left Krokus and run for a new band called DC World, we ask ourselves if the guy was in full possession of his mind at that time. DC World was never able to compete with Krokus - lyrically, musically nor did they on the Swiss box office. So what do you do when things don't turn the way you want it ??? You go one step backward and you "recreate" Krokus :) That was an excellent idea to tell you the truth. After all, Gotthard is ruling here in Switzerland and there is no secrets this band has been widely inspired by .... Krokus.

By the way, if Judas Priest could have the same kind of idea, that would be great :)) But that's another story ...

After To Rock or Not to Be - the first reunion attempt back in 1995 - which was a complete disaster and Rounds 13, the latest album with singer Carl Sentence - another disaster - how sound this new album Rock The Block ? It sounds like these old good times. I mean, they could have baptized this record Back To The Roots. No surprise at all. What ? You don't know Krokus and would like to have a clearer image of that band. That's very simple : do you remember AC/DC with Bon Scott, that's what Krokus is all about. Listen to Marc Storace, you will really believe Bon Scott is resuscitated.

Mad World - first song - dissipate immediately any doubt ! Krokus is back to sounds like Krokus. Pure dirty rock 'n' roll like the famous Australian band does. Leading The Pack, the boogy-rock song, confirms me the "good health" of the band ... after so many years, so many albums. The emotional ballads are also back : I Want It All or Open Fire.

One For All will make you believe once again Bon Scott is alive. Simple chorus, simple riffs but what a "twisted" feeling. Who said good things never change. The rock FM songs Looking To America, Raise You Hands or Go My Way reminds me these old Def Leppard songs and I have to mention the excellent Night Of The Snakes, a heavy rock song perfectly executed by the Swiss hard rock band.

Well you see, nothing new here my dear readers ... just souvenirs twisting in my head. But honestly, this is exactly what I was waiting from this Rock The Block. Nothing more ! This new album went No.1 in no time here in Switzerland, confirming the band has still a lot of fans.

If you like AC/DC or Gotthard, you have to check this Rock The Block.

Welcome back my friends, Switzerland was waiting that for soooooooooooooooo long.
