Other stuff I can be proud of: My wife, Tanya, my 2 boys, Stephen and Weston, my 1000+ CD collection!!! and the fact that I was there during the metal explosion of the late 70's and all through the 80's. I've had the pleasure of seeing bands like Maiden 8 times (once with Paul Di'anno) and Priest 6 times (5 of those with Rob Halford), as well as other giants such as Dio, Accept, Saxon, Ozzy, Savatage, Sabbath, Metallica, Rush etc. many, many times. Metal music is my life and I can't imagine my life without it. It's been part of me for the last 30 years or so and my passion for it grows stronger every day. I'm as excited about metal music in the last several years as I was in the early 80's when lots of great new bands emerged onto the scene. The quality of metal music in some ways is even better today than it ever has been and never before has there been so many great bands playing a wide assortment of metal music styles. The problem is, most of the metal fans from the 80's know nothing about this unless you're really proficient with the internet. The popular music industry doesn't give enough support to REAL Metal music and as a result, a thriving underground scene has developed that relies on word of mouth and spreading the word about great bands any way we can through chat rooms ICQ etc. or in a common forum like Metal Reviews or other webzines that do their best to support metal music. It's a very unique brotherhood that unites people from all over the world with very different cultures and backgrounds and it's one that I'm very proud to be a part of.
