Demo 1 was recorded in a rehearsal room of some friends by myself in late 1991. The first name of the band was Seditious and was only recorded by me. The demo was called Rest in Pain but I never send it to record companies, because I didn't like my own vocals.

Then early 1992, I wrote two more songs and recorded a new demo in a proper studio. This time I met up with Mass Broberg (now in Dark Funeral) and asked him if he would like to sing on the demo, so he did. We mailed out some demos to a couple of record companies and after a few days, Nuclear blast called. So we had to put a band together and I knew Lars from a band we had in 1984, but this time Lars was playing in a band with Jonas Osterberg, so I asked both of them to join, so they did. The rest is history (best of). Sorry for the bad quality on the demo songs, it's taken from "old" cassettes ....
Peter Tägtgren (Summer 2001)

The first CD is full of best of songs (with some songs re-recorded in 2001) & the second CD is full of demo songs. These 2 CDs are delivered inside a magnificent box (collector) and if you are a fan of Hypocrisy, you must have this one ( if not already ;-) ).

If you want to discover this death metal band who has influenced so much the Scandinavian scene, this 10 Years Of Chaos And Confusion is a very good starting point. Hypocrisy is playing their own death/thrash metal and they deserve your attention if you are fan of extreme metal. After all, we are talking of one of the best producer ever, Mr. Tägtgren (Immortal, Destruction, Dummi Bordir, ...., ..... ).
