Since a long time now I wanted to talk you about this Tribute. As usual we got too much to do here, so some records are left behind ....

Initiated by Locomotive Music, this Transilvania 666 will pleased all Iron Maiden fans out there. With songs like Run To The Hills (Avalanch), Fight Of The Icarus (Tierra Santa), Charlotte The Harlot (Lujuria), The Evil That Men Do (Azrael), The Trooper (Easy Ryder), Phantom Of The Opera (Ankhara), Powerslave (Pyramid), Wasted Years (Skunk D.F.), Wrathchild (Grass) .... how is it possible to not be in front of a wonderful tribute record ? Of course, some songs are executed from a particular perspective, but that's the good thing with Tribute.

Yeah, this is THE Spanish tribute record to one of the best (if not THE best) heavy metal band in the world. Except Fear Of The Dark, this tribute covers (oooops!) the early career of the British band. But after all, the best songs of Iron Maiden aren't the one from the first albums ?

The best songs for me are : Run To The Hills (Avalanch), Wasted Years (Skunk D.F.), Charlotte The Harlot (Lujuria). Two CDs inside a wonderful package devoted to Iron Maiden ... what else could we ask ? May be the production ? Humm ... yes, if only the production was better ! Otherwise, If you are a fan of the British Lady, you should check this one.

I was running (free ;-) after this one since a long time now ... and once again, I found it at Wacken MetalMarkt this summer.

Killing Songs :
Run To The Hills (Avalanch), Wasted Years (Skunk D.F.)
