From their early days signing with Gene Simmons’ record company and releasing their very first album in 1987, House of Lords have stacked a pretty impressive discography of hard rocking glam metal tunes and Indestructible is their ninth studio album to come to life for 2015. A band that I haven’t delved into unfortunately until now, I am glad I have, as they evoke a positive and energetic sound that leaves a solid impact.

Opening things up with Go to Hell, establishing a more epic mood with a choir before the guitars kick in, you feel right at home with these group of hard rockers. A solid beat, with even more solid guitar riffing, it only adds more icing to the cake with its extremely catchy vocals during the chorus. Moving right along to the title track Indestructible, the album keeps things upbeat still, with heavy guitars and yet again a chorus begging to be sung along to.

Songs do express a softer tone, like a personal favorite, Call My Bluff. A slower song, this one eases the album down a bit, but doesn’t lose its catchy vibe. All-in-all, the album remains interesting during its entire 51 minutes of rock. More pounding heavy riffing remains up to even the later tracks, like the fist pumping riffs of Another Dawn, or even the quicker track Stand and Deliver at the very end; songs are just simply just too fun to explore.

If anything, Indestructible only has sparked my interest to check out House of Lords even more. Glam infused into this hard rock avalanche, House of Lord’s latest album does not disappoint.
