Musical interests:

• Favourite genres: I pride myself on liking them all, but I especially love anything that's out of the ordinary. I try to review music that I find interesting as a Metalhead and think that the readers will enjoy too, even if this sometimes crosses the Rock/Metal barrier, even into Jazz territory. If it's something you haven't heard of, so much the better! If I *have* to choose favourite genres, these are they: old-school Death, any Black that makes an effort to be different, and Prog of all shapes and sizes. Extreme Metal is my forte, but I'll always make an effort to try the others, especially Classic Rock. And Rush. Always Rush.
• A few favourite bands: Rush, Megadeth, Voivod, Enslaved, The Gathering, Darkthrone, Opeth, Napalm Death, Clutch, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Edguy and many more!
• All time favourite album: Rush - 2112. Although Hemispheres isn't far behind... or the rest of them.

I'm human too:

• Cool day job: Administrative random office deskjockey at a law firm. Not very cool at all.
• Hobbies: Music, art, films, politics, life in general. Trying to get my Tarja-era-Nightwish-loving wife (happy anniversary to us, 17 December 2022) further into metal! Although she did come to and enjoy an Enslaved gig recently so I'm counting that as completed.

I can't always get an update written every week, but it remains something that I love doing and keeping this site (that has given me so much) on life support is something of a personal crusade at this point.
