Well, I wasn't expecting to be able to do this! (currently on shitty dial-up at home), but since Naffy hasn't posted my poem yet, I'll do it.
Here it be:
Quote:
I search through the library of your being for my needs...
Not a part of you, no nook nor cranny, escapes my gaze.
Meticulously I hunt, into no pit falling,
The solution to this puzzle inside you, calling.
Holding the universe at bay, I plunge deeper inside,
Travelling from the gate far inside the palace of your mind.
Opulent grandeur, beauty unbeheld even by you,
Your surface allure surpassed by a single internal view.
Inside every great artist lurks a greater monster,
Dwelling deep inside the imagination, needing nought.
Living instead from the host, feeding on memories,
Cursed never to escape the chains holding it with ease.
To release this demon, to open the gates of hell wide
And stand well back as a torrent of fury escapes its bonds
To make markings on the snowy landscape, strange patterns, swirls.
Together they stick, feeding from each other, becoming pearls.
As I read your mind, the beast senses, touches me.
We exchange wisdoms with our wandering fingers' strokes.
Slowly building up to illicit pain, benumbing pleasure,
As I reach the shadow'd corner wherein lies the treasure.
My insights are sucked from another's mouth, yet they are mine.
To sense the imprint of my lips in your thoughts is to taste me.
My caress cuts no wound, my light touch leaves no trace behind,
As it gently explores the soft contures of your mind.
Spreading you over this horizon is an experience
Never to repeat itself in the same form, each time unique.
My attentions have made you immortal like no statue could
In these words you survive, by all your divinity understood.
